Day2 ー Waking Up Late Could Cost Me My Dream

This morning, I woke up at 7 a.m.
That’s one hour later than planned.

It may not sound like a big deal—but for me, it is.
During this 90-day startup challenge, I promised myself to wake up at
6:00 a.m. every day, take a cold shower, do a short workout, and work on my business from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m.

That morning time is sacred.
It’s the
only quiet, focused time I have before the world wakes up.
And yet, on Day 2, I already slipped.
That’s careless. And I can’t afford carelessness—
because my time is limited.

Let me explain.
I’m a full-time hairstylist.
I leave home at 9 a.m., work at the salon from
10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and return home around 9 p.m.
That leaves me with only a few hours each day—maybe 2 to 5 hours—to work on building my startup.

Sundays are my busiest days, and yesterday was no exception.
My appointment slots were fully booked.
I didn’t get home until late, and by the time I finished my tasks for the day, it was already
1:00 a.m.
Waking up at 6 after only 5 hours of sleep was brutal.

Being a hairstylist isn’t just mentally demanding—it’s physically exhausting too.
I stand for 10 hours, concentrate intensely, and stay energetic for every client.
If I want to succeed in both worlds—my current job and my future business—I need to find the right balance.

That’s why I’ve entered “focus mode” for these 90 days.
No socializing.
No drinks.
No mindless scrolling through social media.
Those things steal my time.
And time, for me, is everything right now.

Right now, I’m still figuring out what business to start.
I’ve been researching, writing ideas, and exploring possibilities.
But I must decide
by tomorrow.
Because I want to spend this
first week planning and start executing next week.

I don’t have the luxury to waste even a single day.
That’s why even waking up one hour late feels like a setback.

This isn’t just a challenge for me.
It’s a race against time, energy, and doubt.
And I know I’m not alone.
Many of you reading this might be working full-time too, juggling dreams between shifts and family.

To you, I say:
You don’t need perfect conditions to start.
But you
do need to protect your time like gold.

Because time is the most valuable currency we have.

Time is money. Especially now.

This blog documents my real-time 90-day journey to start a business from scratch—no fame, no funding, just pure determination.
Based in Japan, I’m sharing each step honestly to inspire others who want to change their lives, too.
Follow along, and let’s grow together.
